Welcome to the Sacred Art of Meditation

A Journey into Stillness, Awareness, and Divine Connection

The Meaning of Namaste

Sacred Recognition of the Divine Within

"Namaste is more than a word—It's a sacred mirror.

When I say it, I’m recognizing the Divine spark  in you as a reflection of the same Light within me.

In that moment, we are One."

Namaste is a Sanskrit word often spoken with hands at the heart and a gentle bow.

It carries a simple yet profound meaning:

“The Divine in me honors the Divine in you.”

At its root:
– Nama means bow
– As means I
– Te means you

It is more than a greeting.

It's a remembrance that we are all sacred reflections of one another.

In this space, I bow to your light, your breath, your being.

May the peace within my Soul recognize the peace within yours.

Opening Mantra: Namaste

A Gentle Practice of Connection and Unity

Close your eyes.

Place your hands gently over your heart.

 Breathe slowly and softly.

Repeat the following silently or aloud:

I honor the Light within me
I honor the Light within you
 We are not separate
 We are one

Let each breath draw you inward

Let each word remind you of your sacred connection to all things.

The Sound of the Universe: AUM

 AWAKENING BODY, MIND, & SPIRIT

The sound of the Universe.

The breath of all creation.

  • A – Waking State (Body)

  • U – Dream State (Mind)

  • M – Deep Sleep (Spirit)

Together, they unite Body, Mind, and Spirit.

Chanting AUM brings you back into harmony with Source,

into your natural state of peace, awareness, and unity.

The Sweetness of Stillness

Dolce Far Niente

"THE SWEETNESS OF DOING NOTHING"

Centering Mantra: Just for This Moment

There is nowhere else I need to be.

There is nothing else I need to do.

I am all that I need to be.

I release all that does not serve me.

(Deep breath in… and gently exhale.)

It’s Not About Stopping Your Thoughts

It’s About Changing the Way You Relate to Them

OUR MINDS ARE LIKE AN OCEAN

When we are awake, our awareness stays at the surface,

tossed around by waves of thought.

In meditation, we dive deeper…
to the still, quiet waters beneath the surface.
Where peace, clarity, and truth reside.

Starting Your Practice

A Gentle Invitation to Stillness

You are not your thoughts.

You are the observer of your mind.

Each time your mind wanders, gently return to your focus.

Be patient. Be kind.

You're not failing.

You're practicing.

Even a few minutes of presence is powerful.

And with time, the noise quiets and clarity emerges.

Explore Different Paths to Stillness

There’s no one right way. follow what calls you.

– Mindfulness: Observing your thoughts
– Mantra: Repeating sacred words (like “OM”)
– Focused: Breath, candles, or gazing
– Spiritual: Prayer or devotion
– Movement: Walking, yoga, tai chi
– Guided: Listening to audio or visual guidance

What to Focus On During Meditation

Let your attention rest softly on...

  • Your breath
  • A mantra or word
  • A visual (like flame or sacred shape)
  • Nature (waves, birds, moonlight)
  • Music or sound
  • The sensations in your body

Create Your Sacred Space

Find a space where you won't be interrupted

A Ritual for Daily Connection

Find a peaceful space

  • Place earbuds in if needed

  • Take a deep breath… and exhale

  • Repeat:
    – Just for this moment, there is nowhere else I need to be
    – Just for this moment, there is nothing else I need to do
    – Just for this moment, I am all that I need to be

The Sound That Lifts Us

Your voice is an instrument of healing.

Do, Re, Mi, Fa, So, La, Ti, Do—each note a step on the ladder of light.

Sing a scale of Soul.

Let sound become prayer.

Let frequency become your teacher.

Do, Re, Mi, Fa, So, La, Ti, Do

Starting Your Journey

Sometimes it's nice to find a guided meditation online—there are beautiful resources available.

Once you get used to it, unplugging from all electronics is highly beneficial.

Be still, and know that I am God.'" — Psalm 46:10

stillness FIRST

My favorite place to be still... is outside—connected to Earth, listening to Creation
